From Syria to Bangladesh, From Egypt to Russia, Global Investors are Turning Their Attention to ITM 2026
ITM 2026 International Textile Machinery Exhibition, one of the most prestigious gatherings of the textile technologies sector, is preparing to host thousands of professional visitors, global investors, and trade delegations. Thousands of professional visitors, factory owners, investors, and sector association presidents from countries such as Syria, where textile investments are gaining momentum again, and Egypt, which is rapidly increasing its production capacity, as well as India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Uzbekistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Russia, will visit ITM 2026 for new collaborations and technology investments. The influx of purchasing delegations from all over the world demonstrates that ITM 2026 will be one of the most important centers of international textile trade.
The ITM 2026 Exhibition, which will be organized in collaboration with Tüyap Tüm Fuarcılık Yapım A.Ş. and Teknik Fuarcılık A.Ş. and in partnership with Textile Machinery and Accessories Industrialists Association (TEMSAD), will welcome visitors at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center from June 9–13, 2026. With over 1000 companies and company representatives from 55 countries, ITM 2026 will become a hub for global trade, attracting thousands of professional visitors, generating machinery sales, and fostering new business collaborations.
In Syria, which is undergoing a recovery process following the regime change, significant steps are being taken to revitalize the textile sector. With the commencement of the “Türkiye-Syria Trade Delegation and Bilateral Business Meetings,” investments have accelerated in Damascus and Aleppo, cities with a long history of textile, garment, and leather production. In line with these developments, a Syrian trade delegation of hundreds of textile company owners and sector decision-makers is expected to visit the ITM 2026 Exhibition to explore new machinery investments.
Egypt, which has rapidly increased its textile production capacity in recent years, is also preparing for ITM 2026 with a strong delegation. A large trade delegation from Egypt, consisting of textile association presidents, industrialists, and manufacturers, will participate in the exhibition to examine new technologies on-site and develop collaborations.
High-level visits will also take place from Bangladesh and Pakistan, which are among the world’s most important textile production centers. Executives from the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) and the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) will closely examine the latest technologies in the sector at the ITM 2026 Exhibition.
ITM 2026, which has attracted significant interest from the Balkans and Russia, will be visited by textile factory owners from Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the president and members of the Union of Textile and Apparel Industry Entrepreneurs (SOUZLEGPROM). The intense interest shown by international trade delegations in the exhibition once again demonstrates ITM’s strong position in the global textile sector.

Visa Advantage Enhances ITM 2026’s International Strength
The fact that many countries, including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Vietnam, Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan, which are among the rising production centers of the textile sector, have visa agreements with Türkiye is one of the important factors that increase the attractiveness of the ITM 2026 Exhibition.
The fact that textile manufacturers who face visa problems when traveling to Europe do not experience similar obstacles when coming to Istanbul directly contributes positively to the number of visitors and participants of the exhibition. In addition, Istanbul’s strong transportation network, accommodation capacity, and hotel options close to the fairgrounds offer great convenience to sector professionals coming from both domestic and international locations.
Trade Delegations Apply to Turkish Consulates and Commercial Attachés
Turkish Consulates and Commercial Attachés continue to provide support to trade delegations regarding visa applications. Trade delegations and sector professionals who wish to participate in the ITM 2026 Exhibition can apply to Turkish Consulates and Commercial Attachés in their respective countries. Thanks to this support, it is aimed to further strengthen the international visitor profile of the exhibition.
