The Global Stage of Textile Technologies: ITM

The foundations of textile machinery exhibitions in Türkiye were laid in the 1980s. Organized in those years, in line with the growing potential of the textile industry, the exhibitions offered the sector an opportunity to gain exposure to technology and showcased Türkiye’s manufacturing power to the world.By the 1990s, there were two major forces behind textile machinery exhibitions: One was TÜYAP, the leading exhibition organization in Türkiye with its experience, institutional strength, and reliability; the other was Teknik Fuarcılık A.Ş., which served as a bridge between Turkish and global textiles with its publications and exhibitions focused on the textile sector. With its knowledge and experience spanning 30 years, Teknik Fuarcılık became one of the leading names in industrial exhibitions during the 1990s, organizing textile machinery exhibitions under various titles. Through these events, it connected textile manufacturers with cutting-edge technologies, opened doors to international collaborations, and earned its place among Türkiye’s most prominent exhibition organizers. During the same period, TÜYAP also contributed significantly to the industry’s development by organizing textile machinery exhibitions. With its expansive fairgrounds, strong infrastructure, and international participant network, TÜYAP played a key role in integrating Türkiye’s textile sector with global markets, helping local manufacturers expand internationally. Thus, Türkiye emerged as a regional hub for textile machinery exhibitions.

The Power Born from the TÜYAP & Teknik Fuarcılık Partnership and A Brand Opening to the World: ITM

In 2003, TÜYAP and Teknik Fuarcılık A.Ş. combined their expertise in exhibition organization and textile industry specialization under a single brand: ITM – International Textile Machinery Exhibition. Shaped by the experience of both organizations, this collaboration opened a new chapter not only for Türkiye but also for the global textile machinery industry. Organized through the partnership of Tüyap Tüm Fuarcılık Yapım A.Ş. and Teknik Fuarcılık A.Ş., ITM has become one of the most prestigious exhibitions in the global textile technologies sector. Covering every stage of textile production — from spinning to weaving, from knitting to dyeing, from finishing to digital printing — ITM brings together the innovations that shape the industry’s future under one roof. At every edition, more than 1,000 manufacturers showcase their latest machines and systems in operation, offering textile professionals a truly unique experience.

The Exhibition That Grows with Records and Shapes the Future of the Textile Industry

With its record-breaking number of participants and visitors, as well as its technological vision, the ITM Exhibition continues to strengthen its reputation as a globally recognized brand. For industry professionals, ITM is not merely an exhibition; it is also a gateway to new markets, a venue for building business partnerships, and an opportunity to access the latest technologies firsthand.
